Terms and Conditions – Jewellery Insurance
This document outlines the terms and conditions governing the OLocker Jewellery Insurance offered through the Kicky & Perky website, owned by Swellegant Creations Pvt. Ltd. Please review these terms carefully to understand your coverage, exclusions, and duties as a subscriber.
Definitions
- The Website: kickyandperky.com, owned by Swellegant Creations Pvt. Ltd.
- Insurer: The insurance company issuing the Certificate of Insurance (COI) to the OLocker subscriber.
- Ornament ID (OID): A unique 16-digit alphanumeric code generated for identifying insured jewellery using OLocker functionalities.
- Certificate of Insurance (COI): A document bearing a unique 16-digit alphanumeric code, outlining details of insured jewellery and terms of coverage.
- OLocker: A secure digital repository for recording jewellery assets.
- OLocker Subscriber: The person to whom the Certificate of Insurance is issued.
- Covered Property: Jewellery identifiable with a valid OID and COI.
- Family Members: Immediate family, including spouses, parents, siblings, and children.
Coverage Period
The coverage begins upon COI generation and is valid for 365 days. For example, a COI issued on December 15, 2023, at 2:30 PM will remain effective until December 14, 2024, at 11:59 PM.
Section II – Coverage & Exclusions
Coverage
The policy insures loss or damage to covered property from the following perils:
- Natural Calamities: Fire, lightning, storms, cyclones, earthquakes, floods, etc.
- Accidents & Theft: Burglary, snatching, robbery, accidental external damage, and acts of terrorism.
- In Transit: Coverage extends to transit within India when jewellery is personally accompanied by the subscriber or a defined family member.
Exclusions
The policy does not cover loss or damage due to:
- Wear and tear, depreciation, or gradual deterioration.
- Theft from unattended vehicles or unlocked premises.
- Loss during repair, cleaning, or restoration.
- Mysterious disappearances or unexplained circumstances.
- Loss caused by war, invasion, civil commotion, or government actions.
- Fraud, misrepresentation, or gross negligence by the subscriber.

Section III – Settlement Terms
Indemnity Limits: Coverage for individual items is capped at ₹25 Lakhs, with a total limit of ₹1 Crore per subscriber.
Valuation Basis:
- For gold, silver, and platinum, the lower of the insured or market value applies.
- Diamonds and stones are valued at the declared value or market value, whichever is lower.
- Making charges are reimbursed at 10% (or actual costs if lower).
Claim Process:
- Claims are settled in two phases: 75% upon initial approval and the remaining after submission of the Final Closure Report.
- All claims require an original invoice, FIR, and compliance with KYC norms.
Section IV – Subscriber Duties in Case of Loss
Subscribers are expected to:
- Report promptly: Notify the insurer within 48 hours and file an FIR where applicable.
- Submit documentation: Provide detailed statements, invoices, and supporting documents within seven days of discovering the loss.
- Exercise due diligence: Prevent negligent behavior, such as leaving jewellery unattended or unsecured.
- Cooperate with investigations: Assist the insurer in tracing stolen items and prosecuting offenders if necessary.
Failure to adhere to these duties may result in claim denial.
